dawn
on the horizon ...
the flight 
of the first pied hornbill
carrying its call


            a birdbath
            full of migrated birds …
            at the resort 
            the wind carrying 
            a child’s song


                        february sky
                        an oriole 
                        on the pink blossom
                        I watch 
                        the birder in me
