Doc Burkard
Doc Burkard is a recent MFA graduate from Hamline University. He works as a delivery driver in the twin cities. When he's not working he enjoys listening to the Twins on the radio, cooking Hunan food, drinking Old Style and playing his guitar in open D. His poetry is influenced by Phil Levine, Chuck Bukowski, Charles Simic and Katrina Vandenberg; as well as musicians such as Bob Dylan, R L Burnside, Jerry Lee Lewis and Jason Isbell. He has a book of poetry finished that has yet to be accepted by a publisher and is working on a sci-fi novel. Read.
