Samantha Campbell - 2

Two Souls

I have a
chestful
of love

A heart beating
sighs of lust

Lips that
speak poetry

Eyes that
convey hunger

Fingers that
all other
poets
envy

And a soul
on the pulse
of the Universe

Because I have
two heartbeats

And for
a little
while

I carry
two souls

Pieces

Above the
dusted moon
my voice speaks
with a heated beat
as my ink drips boom
shattering the known world

Supernova Lips

I'm empty
Nothing
comes out
simply

Rose blood
on his tongue
this lonely heart
to her lonely bed

In this universe of twilight skin
and mismatched bones

I wonder just how
many poems sleep
beneath the inkwell
of my eyes

My body is a house of stars
and my palms are black holes
sucking ( me ) into their vortex of

nothing

I am
nothing

A heart's hoarded secrets
of love me pretties and
scarlet letter dreams

Across the cosmos
hungry for your lips
my mouth yearns
and burns a bursting
hot supernova

I wanna hear
your voice
touch your skin
feel your breath
taste your lips
take you all in

Eden at the
very core
scorching
secreting
secrets

In this
tangled mess
I call my heart

Daisy veins and sin
this cosmic heart of mine
she's bringing me down
gravity bound

Nothing

I am nothing
an insignificant nebula
orbiting the wrong atmosphere

Pressing origami bones
against my sun-stricken mouth
desire searching for a home
buried in your lungs

You whispered breathe me
lovely
in the inhale/exhale
of carbon dioxide suicide

She speaks only of you now
lonely and mourning beats

Crack open
this damn ribcage

set me free

Burn my words
trample their ashes
until not one letter remains
feed them to the winds
until you and I alone
have known the passion
in their flames

Cause

Ive got
constellations
in my eyes

And hes got
the galaxy
in the palm
of his hand

and
yet

I'm empty
Nothing
comes out
simply

                Truth

                    A verse
                    full of passion

                    I disgorge on to
                    this paper
                    these words
                    of truth

                    Foraging
                    the depths
                    of myself

                    As the verses
                    twisted and tumbled
                    in my core

                    Consuming vowels
                    and consonants
                    leaving nothing behind

                    Truth

                    I would purge
                    the language of love

                    If poetry
                    were edible
                    could I draw
                    meaning from
                    its paper and ink

                    Becoming poetically FAT
                    gorging on words
                    devouring meaning
                    Id be the weight
                    of the world

Try to Forget Me

I am made up
of words

My mind is
a dictionary

My heart is
a book of poetry

I'm the prettiest song
the perfect sonnet
the most meaningful haiku
and the most erotic poem
you will ever read

It takes a while
to read me

Seconds to love me
and a lifetime to forget me

Boom

Above the
dusted moon
my voice speaks
with a heated beat
as my ink drips boom
shattering the known world

Deviousness

I'm dripping in poetic honey
as you taste my words

I'm Sweet delicious
deviousness

Slip Away

We spent
the night
side by side
spitting verses
between kisses
to enraptured to
put pen to page

Our little poet hands
desired to caress skin
instead of letting ink spill
and never have I neglected
the call of poetry until you
and by this fact alone
you should know
just how much
I love you

That I let words slip away
into the empty night air

Love Drunk

I Wonder
How Your Words
Would Taste

As I Sip
Them Slowly
From Your Lips

and

How Their Smooth
Amber Tones
Would Inebriate
My Brain

I
Want To
Loose all control
Have My Head Tilt Back

With

Eyes Half Shut

As

I Feel Your Touch

Because

The Deep Vibe Of Your Baritone
Wants To Make Me Bold

As I Absorb You In

and

Right Now
Your Words
Are Staggerin'
Around Me

In A Fast
Dizzyin' Spin
So Hold Me Up
Don't Let Me Fall

Because

I Might
Be Trippin'
As I'm Sippin'

and

Not One Drop
Am I Spillin'
As I Inhale You In

and

Think Of You
and One Ice Cube

I Could Say That
I Want To Get Drunk
Off Your Love

But

That's A Rare Elixir
I Have Yet To Partake Of

and

The Way I'm Feeling
It's A Lil' Too Much

So

Stand Right There

and

Let Me Drink In
The Mellow
Smoothness
Of Your Skin

As

One
Big
GULP
Goes Down
Easy

So

Excuse Me Baby

(Shot Glass Tiltin')

But

You Just Have Me

A
Lil'
Tipsy
and
Love
Drunk

Roar

In search
of where
it hurts
the most

Finding
kinky
corners
in my mind
arouses me

Swollen wet words
dripping honey

 Illicit tensions
when passion translates
beyond words

I am doomed
to my baser instincts

Deciphering intimacy
creating a sexy
cemented
intoxication

I penned fiery words
from imaginations of perfected
sexual renditions from unscripted orgasms
breathlessly captured within

Clawing passionately
ecstasy rings like
the Masai Mara
lions roar

Soft

The solely soft sensation
and singularity
of your skin,
This is passion's
endless round
to give it all away
and I should know
for here I am
so given
to today
