An Announcement for All Who Have Enjoyed VerseWrights
|
Readers, Guests and Friends: VerseWrights is no longer publishing any new poetry, and is no longer accepting new poets or submissions. We will also wind down our social media accounts. We're excited to announce, however, that the site's archives will be cared for and promoted by Tweetspeak Poetry! Here is why we are closing... In these last five years, the site has grown more than I ever could have imagined, and it presently about a thousand pages. I simply cannot keep up with it. Also, in a way, VerseWrights has taken over my life and I need to free myself from it in order to accomplish other things as my age advances. VerseWrights was a daily labor of love for slightly over five years. All good things, of course, come to an end, and I knew VerseWrights would have to stop publishing someday, and someday is, sadly, today. I would like to thank our many, many readers for their steadfast participation in VerseWrights. Such fidelity should not be rewarded this way, but, alas, it is the reality which we all must face. And, of course, I extend my most humble thanks to the poets, each an every one, who have trusted me with their work--many for years. Working with you and showcasing your poems has been one of the great joys of my senior years. With deep gratitude to all, Carl Sharpe Return to Home Page |
