As Leaves Turn...

…the turns I make

define my moments
define my journey
define my inner core

…and when the final
leaf turns, I hope it
         matters

Diary of Dreams

celestial echo…
seasonal memories float
in garnet hues

the fresh aroma
of thulian roses wafts…
my first kiss

soft music
in mellifluous tune…
pristine caresses

shelter long past
in summer’s shadow…
I walk alone

Twilight Splendor

Autumn’s colorful hues
    have come and gone.

Silver strands replace
    youth’s golden tresses.
Gentle strength flows
    through her wrinkled hands.
Though bones ache,
    a smile lights her face.
Her fragile body encases
    a warm, generous heart.
When she eases into a room,
    others pause in awe.

In the middle of winter,
    her faith flows on.

Unwritten Book

pages
turn in the wind…
regrets and time wasted
unfold in solitude’s corner
untold

The Puppet

Selling out, he hopes the strings
will lead him to the life he craves.
Dangling, he dances to the whims
of the one who claims him.
Cutting the bonds, he sacrifices
    fame and riches for freedom.

Haiku

silk ribbons--
the smooth strains
of her song

Simon Says

Simon says
take two steps back--
spring layoff

                       Center Stage

Autumn whispers as trees are thinned,
leaves dancing in the wind.
As neighbors rake, they share good news
then they bid fond adieus.
Asters sway in the gentle breeze;
artists' words spill with ease.  Bright in color, bards paint fall hues.
Sandals stored for warmer shoes, we enjoy October's views
