Meet the Poet


Suchoon Mo

​Suchoon Mo is a Korean War veteran and a retired academic living in the semiarid part of Colorado. He received his Ph.D. in experimental psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, and is a Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Colorado State University, Pueblo. He has authored a number of research and scholarly articles and monographs, mostly on time perception and time perspective.   He has published poetry going back to the 1950's. He writes in several different styles, anywhere from narratives to the symbolic and minimalist styles. Some of his poems are anthologized in Dissident Editions, edited by A. Weir, and he has authored a chapbook, Frog Mantra, which is published by Accents Publishing. His most recent poems appear in Aji Magazine, and his most recent music composition, "Cranes Are Flying Home," appears in Heart & Mind Zine. He is mostly solitary in his artistic pursuits. Read.
