cocoon

entwined limbs
tangled hair
trauma wrapped around my
heart
melted
with the uneven skipping
of two sore beats,
there is no safer
place
for you
than between
my
aching
arms.

Short poem

i want to
live
in the end.less
paradigms
that trap
your soul
with
mine

for
a cosmic
second
  on the
horizon-
halving
in
open
question

please.
pause.and.don't.restart.the.world

shatter the lights;
reflections ever invade our presence.

we face each other
in the wilderness of dreams
-hearts racing-

love will always be
insufficient
from me, to you.

time is the currents
space the deep oceans
every star with its secret womb
burns in glorious birth

sweet… my sweet, life is for the living.

just--shine.suck.dance.pluck.hurt.tingle.break.miss.trace.bleed.taste

&

orgasm

don't look at the destination
before feeling the experience

my arms
are
out
finding

you

heavy and sinking.

i blow
wishes
into a shipwrecked
vessel

push one last breath
for surface

and
hail
the world

goodbye.

to my love forever remaining:

we are temporary fluorescents in the downpour
of stars
collectively rotating
in rhythm with the land,
whispering of dreams or passing as leaves
nightfall's vagabond breath
slips over the frayed orbit of its cares
with our kiss that melts the brightness of moon
i do not depend to live outside her witnessing
lo the furious hours, the heart's alchemy, the
blood that runs through one for the other;
i want
to
touch
the bare torment
to feel real poets break each other
open
i want pulsing bodies 'neath smouldering
satin ripples
and
a
pair
of
machetes.

today

when i heard about your crash my world froze
nothing matters anymore
all the petty disagreements
i take them back

all i ever wanted
was a splint
of your
strength
to prove
that
i'm worthy
of
being
your
daughter

gold coast highway

gold coast highway

with my night
ride
flatlining the street
lights
only time
feels infinite.

roar wind
sheer race machine
locks of moon
enclose my eyes
end world.

earth's gloom
heart buckles
misunderstood passages.
speed wolf
caught on
a
passionate gleam

remember hand holding
the once glory
of being open,
face cold
tight grip
on steering
my head is lint
and the wrong things
feel
right.

Lovenote

grazing your beard over my lips,
i breathe in your essence, musk untamed
you are my home. in tatters and fireworks.
skin on skin beginning their memory sequence,
diaphanous drapes swelling and crushing
rhythmically catching the moonlight
ribcage pressed tight, no tear escapes without
a furrowed brow. feeling beautiful in this sweet-
aching-hurt. bodies burning, blood-soaked.
like pomegranate orbs in the milky way.
tides' unfolded calm, drifting to soft repose-
the world is a soluble solution in your eyes
i kiss you. passionately-- just as the night air
sways your eyelids into forgetting
our evenings and days of an unsteady time series
darling, when you sleep, i miss you; forever.

you asked me if i was sure

i'm prone to falling in love with you
everyday
i sink deeper
and find no healing in the dark

the only certainty is love and uncertainty
can you carry this and my
rose stained veins that await
the crushing of my heart

listen to me now and not to them
we are alive to risk our lives
dying by the hour for every
lovely moment--to arrive--in this moment

at night i slip into your dreams
you are merciless
that smitten smile and the sparkle in your eyes
wake up sweet and kiss me realistically once

we are as selfish as our creator
stars- made to fall in orderly strings like glow worms
the long night has abandoned all matter--we're free
and i can tell you i am ready to believe in soulmates
