Meet the Poet

Barrett Warner

Picture

Barrett Warner is the author of two poetry volumes, Why Is It So Hard to Kill You? (Somondoco, 2016) and My Friend Ken Harvey (Publishing Genius, 2014). The Maryland native lives near the South Edisto River in South Carolina where he fishes with crickets, gathers pheasant plumes, and goes swimming with his two dogs, Georgia and Tinsel Town. His personal creed is represented by totally limited omniscience. In recent years, the regional poet was awarded a Maryland individual artist grant and has won the Salamander fiction prize and the Tucson Book Festival essay prize. Read.
