Wasentha Young

Passing Through Air

I bend and stretch downward,
    to gather the sea
of energy from the earth,
    all around me.

As if to wash I scoop and hold,
Bend my knees to lift this vital bowl,
Lifting it above my head,
I releassssssse
Do
    wn
        ward
Purifying my core;
In all the spaces it can find,
Easing my body, spirit and mind,
Leaving only itself,
    all impurities are
Recycled
    in the earth below

Landscapes of the Mind

We imitate the Masters
based on a poem,
Capturing the feeling of what is underneath

Auspicious pines
Immortal peaches
sitting among
rustling bamboo and banana leaves

The strength is the
brushstroke of the mind and image
     coming together like two waterfalls,
     becoming the feeling.

The changing shapes whisper
     like clouds cradling mountaintops.

Empty space filled with chi,
Imaginary journey for the soul
forgetting worldly desire,
     We nourish our spirits.

Divine Inspiration

My beloveds come in many forms.
Feet on the ground,
wings in the sky,
fins in water,
many eyes of
omnipresent Divinity.

Through the Eyes of My Beloved 1

Trying to hold water in my hands
Falling away
What was
Stretched forward once filled hands
Reaching toward the Divine

Show the care
Oh to feel the glory of light in heart
The warmth of loving arms holding
Presence absolute
Fingers scorched I retreat into the cold

Looking for shelter
To be sheltered
Be-hold
Like the gentle energy of rose quartz

My beloveds came in many forms
Offering
Hand in hand
Hand over hand
Arms over shoulder
Leading

Hot coals under my feet
Blistering - Oozing wounds
I lay my head upon holy rock
If only to rest
Along the winding path

How far ahead is the felt clearing?
That held oasis
Offering solace.

Holy Spirit

Pressure fenced loudly
Contradicting glimpses of light and promise
Divine ever holding

Dropped to knees
Mercy flanks the unworthy
Shielding the luminous blue with
Dreary walls of blood bricks

Windows of deliverance look
To the power of divine love
