Meet the Poet


Arvinder Kaur

Arvinder Kaur is an Associate professor of English and Media Studies at the Post Graduate Government College for Girls in Chandigarh, India. She writes poetry in both Punjabi and English. Her first book of Punjabi poetry appeared in 1999. Her translation of letters exchanged between noted Punjabi writer Amrita Pritam and her painter companion Imroz, entitled Amrita and Imroz: In the Times of Love and Longing was published in 2009. A book on writing entitled Lessons in Writing Skills was also published in 2009. Nimolian, a collection of haiku in Punjabi, was published in 2013. Dandelion Seeds, a collection of bilingual haiku was published this year.
